Happy Christmas, turkeys!

2014 is coming to an end. This year absolutely flew by, I couldn’t tell you what I was up to in May, I barely remember last month. I remember my parents saying the years fly by as you get older and I thought they were talking rubbish. But dear God, please slow down.

I have decided that 2015 is my year; my year to focus on number one. I’m starting a new job in January (details to come soon) and it’s going to be a year of professional growth as well as better health, fitness and general wellbeing for myself. I’m not making new year’s resolutions as such, I’m just promising myself to do things that make me a happier and healthier person. I’ve definitely fallen off the healthy lifestyle wagon and I feel terrible for it.

I’ve deleted my Tinder app, because the jokers on there do not help the cause. Most just want a one night stand, or are completely weird. I want to meet someone organically – and who knows, my new job could bring about that possibility. But it’s not going to be my 2015 focus – my personal happiness is.

So in the words of Bridget Jones;

And that was it. Right there. Right there, that was the moment… I suddenly realized that unless something changed soon I was going to live a life where my major relationship was with a bottle of wine and I’d finally die fat and alone and be found three weeks later half-eaten by Alsatians, or I was about to turn into Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction.
